Volleyball Recap: Newark Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Newark waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Leland Panthers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Norsemen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19.

Heather Buhle paced Newark's offense, picking up six kills. Buhle got some help from Taylor Jeffers and her 12 assists. Buhle was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Newark's record is now 18-3. As for Leland, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-7.

Coming up, Newark will welcome Rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leland, they will head out on the road to square off against Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
