Basketball Game Preview: Edinburgh Lancers vs. Union County Patriots

The Edinburgh Lancers will take on the Union County Patriots in a tournament on Friday. Edinburgh is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Edinburgh was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Trinity Lutheran.

Meanwhile, Union County suffered their biggest loss since January 25th on Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Winchester Community an easy 61-40 win. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Edinburgh will have to keep a close watch on Logan Boone and Nick Watterson, a pair of players who had a big impact on Union County's prior game. Boone went 5 for 10 on his way to 10 points and five steals, while Watterson went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points. Boone is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season.

Edinburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Union County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
