Basketball Recap: Penfield Takes a Loss

After flying high against Webster Thomas last Saturday, Penfield came back down to earth. The Penfield Patriots fell just short of the Greece Athena Trojans by a score of 75-72 on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (71), the Patriots still had to take the loss.

The defeat snapped Penfield's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 20-4 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points over those games. As for Greece Athena, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

As of now, neither Penfield nor Greece Athena have any future games scheduled.
