After a string of three wins, Two Rivers's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the North Polars by a score of 8-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Polars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-6 back in April.
Kaylee Rall was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Dani Shields, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.
Two Rivers' loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for North, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, Two Rivers and North will both be playing South St. Paul the next time they take the field. The Polars will head out to face the Packers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
