Basketball Recap: Burnet Comes Up Short

After flying high against Marble Falls last Friday, Burnet came back down to earth. The Burnet Bulldogs took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salado Eagles on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Burnet has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Salado, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Burnet will venture away from home to challenge Taylor at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Salado, they will host Marble Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
