Basketball Recap: Jackson Takes a Loss

If Jackson was feeling good fresh off their 62-38 takedown of TERRA Environmental last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Generals took a blow against the True North Classical Academy Titans on Tuesday, falling 73-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Generals have suffered since December 27, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead True North Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Boosie Swan, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Swan is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Danny Gonzalez, who went 5-for-8 en route to 16 points.

Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for True North Classical Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will face off against North Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Generals will be up against the Pioneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.88 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for True North Classical Academy, they will take on Fort Lauderdale at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will be up against the Flying L's rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
