Soccer Recap: South Point Takes a Loss

South Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fairland Dragons. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but South Point couldn't quite close it out.

South Point's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Fairland, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

South Point has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Peebles on the 13th. As for Fairland, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Portsmouth on the 11th.
