Softball Recap: Lake Weir Hurricanes vs. North Marion Colts
Lake Weir came into Thursday's game having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let the North Marion Colts get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Thursday. The Hurricanes not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 12th.

G Weidenbacher was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Baylee Paparo was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Those hits marked the first that she got this season. Another player making a difference was Allison Eason, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI.
