Baseball Recap: Waukesha South Falls Short of West Allis Hale in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Waukesha South can now relate to. They fell just short of the West Allis Hale Huskies by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 back in April.

Alex Montez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Cooper Wiltz was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Waukesha South's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for West Allis Hale, their victory bumped their record up to 10-19.

Waukesha South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Allis Hale, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Muskego on the 5th.
