Baseball Recap: Buffalo Valley Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Buffalo Valley had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 9-1 to the Soper Bears on Thursday.

Buffalo Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blythe Griffitts, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo Valley will face off against Smithville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Soper, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Milburn at 4:30 p.m. on September 2.
