Volleyball Recap: New Philadelphia Takes a Loss

New Philadelphia was the 3-1 winner over Lexington when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Quakers came up short against the Minutemen on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Quakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Philadelphia took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-20.

Stella Halter paced New Philadelphia's offense, picking up five kills. Halter got some help from Marisa Loader and her eight assists. Kaitrin Burnworth controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

New Philadelphia's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lexington, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

New Philadelphia has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Western Reserve Academy on the 30th. As for Lexington, they will head out to face off against Wooster at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
