Basketball Recap: Rantoul Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Rantoul Eagles were beaten by the Kaneland Knights 77-34. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Rantoul's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Kaneland, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rantoul will host Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rantoul is facing Charleston at the right time seeing as Charleston is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Kaneland, they will be playing at home against DeKalb at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kaneland is on a 12-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), DeKalb a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
