Gehlen Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Akron-Westfield Westerners, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Westerners this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-0 defeat two weeks ago.

Gehlen Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Akron-Westfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Gehlen Catholic has already played their next contest (against Newell-Fonda), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Akron-Westfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn on the 5th.
