Hayfork got themselves on the board against Loyalton on Friday, but Loyalton never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Grizzlies 52-0. Given the Timberjacks' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 67th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Hayfork to victory were Levi Cavalli and Tatem Wiley. Cavalli rushed for 114 yards and five TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, while Wiley gained 103 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Cavalli racked up 135.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hayfork was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 214 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 214 rushing yards in 16 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Hayfork's record now sits at 7-0. As for Loyalton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
