             The Mallard Creek Mavericks will face off against the Independence Patriots at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Mallard Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5  points per game  this season.
 Mallard Creek will head into Friday's  game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune  on Friday. They came up short against  Providence Day, falling  57-37.
 Mallard Creek's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Troy Griffin, who  scored five points in addition to eight  rebounds and five  blocks, and  Ahmad Savage, who  scored 11 points.  Meanwhile, Independence put another one in the bag  on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past West Cabarrus with  points to spare, taking the game  53-38.

 Mallard Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their  match against Independence  in their previous matchup  back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with  a  52-46 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Independence's  Kolbe Johnson, who  went 5 for 12 en route to 11 points plus eight  rebounds.
