Basketball Game Preview: Metea Valley Mustangs vs. Oswego East Wolves

The Metea Valley Mustangs will head out to face off against the Oswego East Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Friday, Metea Valley lost to DeKalb at home by a 60-44 margin. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Oswego East entered their tilt with Romeoville on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 57-42 victory over the Spartans.

Oswego East's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. As for Metea Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Metea Valley barely slipped by Oswego East when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 60-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Metea Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
