Softball Recap: Southern Academy Takes a Loss

Southern Academy was the 9-6 winner over Jackson Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Southern Academy took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jackson Academy on Thursday.

Mallory Newton was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Southern Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jackson Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Southern Academy will welcome Ezekiel Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Jackson Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
