Recap: Uniontown Red Raiders vs. Baldwin Highlanders
After flying high against the Albert Gallatin Colonials last Friday, the Uniontown Red Raiders came back down to earth. Uniontown fell 65-55 to Baldwin on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Red Raiders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was K'Adrian McLee, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McLee has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamire Braxton, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Uniontown's loss dropped their record down to 15-2. As for Baldwin, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Uniontown and Belle Vernon will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Belle Vernon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Uniontown likes a good challenge. As for Baldwin, they will head out on the road to challenge Canon-McMillan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Canon-McMillan and Baldwin are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
