Basketball Recap: Ponderosa Victorious

If El Dorado wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Ponderosa, they should've done a better job of containing Travis Bays. The Ponderosa Bruins put the hurt on the El Dorado Cougars with a sharp 76-50 victory on Friday thanks in part to Bays, who went 8 for 13from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points and six rebounds. Those 32 points gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, El Dorado still got an impressive performance from Logan Baker, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Mcculloch, who posted six points.

Ponderosa's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for El Dorado, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Ponderosa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 85-71 defeat against Roseville on the 7th. As for El Dorado, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 75-62 loss against Union Mine on the 7th.
