Recap: Veterans Warhawks vs. Putnam County War Eagles
The Veterans Warhawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Putnam County by a score of 97-88. The victory was familiar territory for Veterans who now have three in a row.
Chandler Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 34 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Veterans' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio ??tone?? scott, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Veterans is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Putnam County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Veterans and Warner Robins will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Warner Robins is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Putnam County, they will be playing at home against Westside at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
