Who's up and who's down

In this week's postseason power rankings action, one team rose to the occasion while another fell hard. A special shoutout goes to Spanish Fort's senior Jack Samsel, who scored five total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.

Can't Touch This

Shades Valley's 34 - 7 win over Pell City last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Desmond Trotter. Trotter rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns. That performance made Trotter one of the best players in the power rankings last week.

No Stoppin 'Em

65. That was the combined point total for Florence and Pinson Valley when they went head to head last week, and it set the benchmark for all power ranking teams. Pinson Valley had all the answers against Florence, winning 45 - 20. Despite Pinson Valley's victory, the team was passed up by other teams in the power rankings and gave up one spot in the rankings.
