Softball Recap: Rubidoux Takes a Loss

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Rubidoux was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They lost 18-1 to the Ramona Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in March.

Rubidoux saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izabella (Zander) Marquez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double. That double was Marquez's first of the season.

Rubidoux's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Ramona, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

While Rubidoux had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
