Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only California walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons with a sharp  10-4 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won 11 games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Gabriella Nudo looked comfortable as she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Jayda Crosby and  Hailey King did most of the damage at the plate:  Crosby  went 3-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base, while  King  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and four  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  King a new career-high.  Kirsten Li was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 California was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .438. They are  a perfect 12-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
California has  been performing  well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Bishop O'Dowd,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 16-9.
 Coming up, California will face off against Foothill at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The last three games the Falcons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Bishop O'Dowd does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
