Hartselle and Austin are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Tigers will head out to face off against the Black Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hartselle's tournament run continued when they took on Coffee County Central on Thursday. The Tigers fell 10-5 to the Red Raiders.

Meanwhile, Austin hadn't done well against Hazel Green recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Black Bears walked away with a 9-6 win over the Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Black Bears.

Arden Breedlove was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Khalilah Mason, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Hartselle now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Austin, their victory bumped their record up to 19-9-1.

Hartselle was able to grind out a solid win over Austin in their previous meeting back in March, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
