Recap: Osbourn Park Yellowjackets vs. Gainesville Cardinals
On Friday, the Osbourn Park Yellowjackets faced the Gainesville Cardinals in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Osbourn Park managed a 52-46 win over Gainesville. The victory was nothing new for Osbourn Park as they're now sitting on six straight.
Keyarah Rainey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 11 steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jayel West, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Osbourn Park's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for Gainesville, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-2-1.
Osbourn Park will head out on the road to face off against Patriot at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Patriot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Gainesville, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against South County at 6:00 p.m.
