Basketball Recap: Pleasantville Takes a Loss

Pleasantville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 63-33 loss at the hands of the Clarkstown South Vikings. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pleasantville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Clarkstown South, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Pleasantville Panthers challenge the Putnam Valley Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pleasantville is facing Putnam Valley at the right time seeing as Putnam Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Clarkstown South, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Scarsdale at 6:15 p.m. One thing working in Scarsdale's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
