Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Weed walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 63-48 victory over the Mt. Shasta Bears on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Despite the loss, Mt. Shasta still got an impressive performance from Brooks Andrus, who posted 17 points and eight rebounds. Andrus is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 14 games he's played. Noah Yager was another key player, putting up nine points.

Weed's victory bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Mt. Shasta, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-12.

Weed has already played their next game, a 73-54 win against Portola on the 1st. Mt. Shasta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
