Volleyball Game Preview: Oswego Panthers vs. Plainfield East Bengals

The Oswego Panthers will challenge the Plainfield East Bengals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oswego will be strutting in after a victory while Plainfield East will be coming in after a defeat.

Oswego took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Joliet Central.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Oswego took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Plainfield East came up short against Minooka on Thursday and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bengals in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15.

Plainfield East's defeat dropped their record down to 9-25. As for Oswego, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-13.

Oswego was able to grind out a solid win over Plainfield East in their previous matchup on October 2nd, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
