Valders is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Kiel is on a nine-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Vikings will host the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Valders lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Two Rivers, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Vikings put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 12-1 victory on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Vikings' most dominant win of the season.

Austin Ebert made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Valders is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-8 otherwise. Ebert was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Carter Valleskey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2025. Brody Jeske was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Valders always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Kiel never let their opponents score on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Valders. Considering the Raiders have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Aaron Stephany made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Teagan Schleh, who earned two RBI, two runs, and four stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Ryan Holz, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Valders' victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Kiel, their win bumped their record up to 14-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Valders has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kiel struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Valders suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Kiel in their previous meeting on Monday. Will the Vikings have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
