Baseball Game Preview: Raymond/South Bend Ravens vs. Ocosta Wildcats

The Raymond/South Bend Ravens are taking a road trip to face off against the Ocosta Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Raymond/South Bend has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Raymond/South Bend managed to slip by Forks the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Ravens lost 18-5 to the Spartans on Tuesday.

Nolen Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Ocosta never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Oakville on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Acorns with a sharp 16-6 win. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ocosta's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Raymond/South Bend, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Raymond/South Bend suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to Ocosta in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Ravens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
