 Randolph was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight  loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 14-4 walloping at the hands of the Maple Grove Red Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Randolph of the  7-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2023.
  Tristan Farnham put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. Farnham was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 Farnham wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Bryson Pitts, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-1.
 Like Randolph, Maple Grove also got a great game from a two-way player:  Camden Lombardo. He  struck out seven batters over  4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   one  hit. Lombardo was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Sean Verbosky, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Maple Grove, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Randolph will  face off against Franklinville at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Maple Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cassadaga Valley at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
