Baseball Recap: Rudder Takes a Loss

Rudder came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Huntsville Hornets by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. The Rangers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Austin Isom was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Adrian Herrera also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Rudder's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5-2. As for Huntsville, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-9-1.

While Rudder had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
