Softball Recap: Granville Golden Horde vs. Corinth Riverhawks

Granville won against Argyle last Tuesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Granville Golden Horde never let the Corinth Riverhawks onto the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Granville.

Granville got a massive performance out of Megan Decker, who went 1-for-2 with a triple, a stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Baker, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Granville pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs per game. As for Corinth, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granville will square off against Hartford Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Corinth, they will head out on the road to challenge Saratoga Central Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
