Soldotna is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Juneau-Douglas, who was ranked third at the time (Soldotna was ranked seventh). Soldotna was beaten by Juneau-Douglas 65-28 on Friday. The game marked the Stars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The win (which was Juneau-Douglas' fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36 points. As for Soldotna, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
