Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gulf Coast HEAT walked away with it. They blew past the Sarasota Christian Blazers 58-32 on Friday. Gulf Coast HEAT has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Gulf Coast HEAT's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Steven Scott, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 20 rebounds. Scott is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Cayden Bosso was another key player, going 8 for 18 to rack up 19 points.

Sarasota Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Justin Brock, who posted 11 points and six boards. That's the most rebounds Brock has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Miller, who earned seven points.

Gulf Coast HEAT's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.2 points. As for Sarasota Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Gulf Coast HEAT nor Sarasota Christian have any future games scheduled.
