Football Recap: Park Ridge Victorious

Park Ridge took a 35-point loss the last time they faced off against St. Mary, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Owls had just enough and edged out the Gaels 22-20. The score was all tied up 8-8 at the break, but the Owls were the better team in the second half.

Park Ridge found their leader in sophomore Patrick Randolph, who rushed for 153 yards and one score. Randolph's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards. Sam Fasola was in the mix as well, providing Park Ridge with two TDs.

Park Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Fasola.

Park Ridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.0 points over those games. As for St. Mary, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Park Ridge will head out to square off against Hasbrouck Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Owls will need to watch out since the Aviators have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. St. Mary has already played their next matchup (against New Milford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
