After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lufkin, Marshall was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tyler Lions. The Mavericks not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 25-17.

Marshall's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 21-12. As for Tyler, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-17.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marshall will face off against rival Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tyler is set to take on their familiar foe Nacogdoches at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
