Red Land and Northern York are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Patriots will head out to face off against the Polar Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Red Land has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Red Land came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Hershey, falling 11-3.

Red Land saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Elder, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Cameron Sutton also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Northern York's offense. They fell just short of West Perry by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Polar Bears were not able to get on the board.

Collin McDonald spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Northern York moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Red Land, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
