Basketball Recap: Chase Harrington Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Trinity Academy

Emporia won the last time they faced Trinity Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Emporia Spartans' way against the Trinity Academy Knights as the Emporia Spartans made off with a 71-46 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 25 points or more this season.

Emporia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chase Harrington led the charge by going 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Harrington a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Shivley, who posted nine points.

Emporia was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Emporia's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Trinity Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Emporia has already played their next match, a 62-40 loss against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on the 24th. As for Trinity Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-41 victory against El Dorado on the 24th.
