Football Game Preview: Laurel Locomotives vs. Browning Indians + How To Watch

The Laurel Locomotives will head out on the road to challenge the Browning Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Laurel has three straight wins, Browning has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Laurel's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Park 49-0. Considering the Locomotives have won four contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Laurel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Curtis Fox led the charge by rushing for 115 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries. Fox's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 115 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Shelton, who rushed for 69 yards and one score on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Laurel was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 308 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 254 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Browning's offense. They took a blow against East Helena on Friday, falling 76-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Browning's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Laurel, their record is now 6-1.
