Baseball Recap: Quapaw Wins Going Away Against Mounds

The Quapaw Wildcats got the win against the Mounds Golden Eagles on Thursday by a conclusive 9-1.

Jaxon Myrick was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Gavin Koronis, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Quapaw was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mounds only posted a batting average of .250.

Quapaw is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-16 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mounds, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-16.

As of now, neither Quapaw nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
