Trabuco Hills barely beat Aliso Niguel the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 26-6 margin over the Wolverines on Wednesday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Trabuco Hills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ellie Tapper, who threw for 211 yards and two TDs while completing 75.8% of her passes, and also punched in two rushing scores. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Tapper a new career-high.

Trabuco Hills didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Aliso Niguel to a completion percentage of just 37.9%. Given Tapper's standout performance, it's clear the Wolverines' secondary just wasn't on the same level.

Trabuco Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Piper Kawanaka and Kayla Phan.

Trabuco Hills' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.5 points over those games. As for Aliso Niguel, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-9 record.

The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Mustangs 14.4, the Chargers 11.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Aliso Niguel is set to challenge their familiar foe Mission Viejo at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
