Softball Recap: Central Lafourche Beats Terrebonne for Their Fifth Straight Win

Central Lafourche had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Terrebonne Tigers. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Central Lafourche's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Terrebonne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Lafourche will host Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Terrebonne, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Terrebonne Tigers duke it out with St. James Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. St. James will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
