Recap: Clovis North Broncos vs. De La Salle Spartans
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Clovis North Broncos can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 41-0 loss at the hands of the Spartans. Clovis North's defeat signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.
Mario Cosma threw for 92 yards on ten of 16 attempts.
Vincent Cordoba was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards. On the ground,
Andrew Chavez rushed for 52 yards.
Derrick Blanche was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. De La Salle also got a significant boost from Jaden Jefferson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.
Clovis North's loss dropped their record down to 13-1. As for De La Salle, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Clovis North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. De La Salle will square off against Mission Viejo at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Mission Viejo has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 300 points over their last seven matchups.
