Football Recap: Floydada Takes a Loss

Floydada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-0 to the New Deal Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Whirlwinds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1192nd, while the Lions are ranked 505th).

Floydada's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for New Deal, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Floydada nor New Deal have any future games scheduled.
