Basketball Recap: Leto Has No Trouble Against King

Leto posted their biggest victory since February 8, 2024 on Friday. Everything went their way against the King Lions as the Leto Falcons made off with a 73-53 win. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

King lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nuri Hakim, who went 8 of 14 en route to 21 points along with eight boards and three steals. That's the most steals Hakim has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Malik Hammond, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Leto's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for King, they dropped their record down to 3-20 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Leto has already played their next match, a 52-47 loss against Wharton on the 27th. As for King, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-65 win against Jefferson on the 28th.
