Mitchell suffered their closest defeat since December 4, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sunlake Seahawks by a score of 77-74. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-57 back in December of 2024.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Fillipe Frangie, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. Frangie is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Christopher Stoddart, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Mitchell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive contests.
