Basketball Recap: North Mesquite Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

North Mesquite extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Syniyah Grigsby. The North Mesquite Stallions simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Samuell Spartans 72-8 thanks in part to Grigsby, who almost dropped a triple-double on 27 points, 12 rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North Mesquite's points.

Gabriella Grigsby was another key player, going 8 for 15 en route to 21 points along with seven boards and six steals. Those six steals gave her a new career-high.

North Mesquite's victory bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Samuell, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

North Mesquite has already played their next matchup, a 56-40 loss against Poteet on the 24th. As for Samuell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-8 defeat against Wilson on the 24th.
