Winfield entered their tilt with Hamilton on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Aggies by a score of 4-1. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Aggies back in March, they had to take a 7-3 defeat.

Winfield pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Hamilton, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winfield will head out to take on Carbon Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hamilton, they will venture away from home to challenge Fayette County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
