Dominguez put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They rang in the new year with a 2-0 victory over the Gahr Gladiators. Given the Dons' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Gladiators are ranked 255th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Daniel Palacios and Guillermo Garcia scored both of Dominguez's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Dominguez's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five contests. As for Gahr, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3-1.

Dominguez wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Firebaugh on the 7th. Gahr has also already played their next match, a 4-1 win against Mayfair on the 7th.
